Data Warehouse Analyst – multiple openings

Design, develop, and model corporate data warehouses for enterprise intelligence for clients across various industries. Implement data warehouse design using Kimball Methodology. Verify structure, accuracy, quality of warehouse data. Develop data warehouse process models to source, extract, transform and load data. Design and develop scripts and programs to source, extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so they can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store. Analyze systems for planning and implementing capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability. Perform system analysis, data analysis, programming using SQL. Implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets. Map source system data to data warehouse models and data marts. Implement business rules through stored procedures, middleware or other technologies. Create plans, test files and scripts for data warehouse testing from unit through integration testing. Provide and/or coordinate troubleshooting support of back-end data warehouse processes including bug fixes and performance improvement. Create functional and technical documentation for data warehouses.
Approximately 75% travel long-term/short-term to various unanticipated client sites in Northern California including San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Marin, Napa, and Yolo Counties.
- Software installation and configuration.
- Participating in requirements and design workshops with our clients.
- Developing project deliverable documentation, development and testing plans.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requires Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related technical field and 3 years progressively more responsible experience providing consulting services to develop enterprise level business intelligence solutions including following:
- 3 years database development in MS-SQL Server, Oracle and/or Mongo DB databases (any combination)
- 3 years developing data analytics and reporting solutions using SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power Pivot and/or Power BI (any combination)
- 2 years developing software applications
- 2 years data warehouse development using Microsoft, Tableau, or Qlikview
- 3 years technical project management
- 1 year application development for retail, e-commerce, or finance business domain.
All experience may be concurrent.
In lieu of Master’s in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related technical field + 3 yrs progressive experience, will accept Bachelor’s in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related technical field + 5 years progressively more responsible experience providing consulting services to develop enterprise level business intelligence solutions including 5 years database development in MS-SQL Server, Oracle and/or Mongo DB databases (any combination), 5 years developing data analytics and reporting solutions using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and other experience as described above. (All experience may be concurrent.)
Interview includes minimum score 50% in Codility online programming test and in-house presentations for sample project.
