  • The third largest city in California (after LA and San Diego).
  • The 10th largest city in the nation.

Tech Museums

Tech Museum of Innovation  (Downtown San Jose) Three floors of “gizmos and gadgets” produced by Silicon Valley companies.

The Intel Museum (Santa Clara)  The museum is located at Intel’s headquarters and has exhibits of Intel’s history as well as the semiconductor technology in general.

Computer History Museum  (Mountain View – near Microsoft)  The Computer History Museum has the largest and most significant collection of computing artifacts in the world.

Stanford University  (Palo Alto)  Stanford’s gorgeous 8,180-acre campus is the largest contiguous college campus in the United States.

Cisco Campus  (San Jose) Drive through the enormous campus to see all 27 buildings.  You’ll find it off I-880.

The HP Garage (Palo Alto)  This small garage is considered “the Birthplace of Silicon Valley”.  Located at 367 Addison Avenue in Palo Alto.

The Googleplex  (Mountain View)  The Googleplex is the corporate headquarters complex of Google, Inc., located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway.

Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus  (Mountain View) Microsoft's newly redesigned Silicon Valley Campus is its largest facility outside of Redmond.  The campus is located at 1045 La Avenida, just of I-101 and near the Computer History Museum.
